Final Fantasy XIII !

Postby ShadowedFlames » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:55 am

So...GameStop had a midnight release of FFXIII last night. I'd already pre-ordered it for the 360, and about 11:30 some employees came out to run a trivia contest. About 50 people including myself played. 10 questions, first to raise hand gets first shot at answer. Winner got a FFXIII faceplate for the 360 that's only getting bundled with the FFXIII package. Guess who won with three quick answers? :D (Will post picture when I get home and after I get my first few hours of gameplay in. :) ) Questions included: "which game debuted the Blue Mage class," "Name one of the two featurees that started recurring in FF2," and "In FF4, where did Cecil get his first crystal?" (Most people thought I lied when I said Mysidia, but I was correct in that. :-P) But it was fun times, and I'll have an initial feel for the game by tonight. *cue Victory Fanfare*

OK, so I'm having issues getting the picture posted here. But I'm about 6 hours into the game now, and this is easily the most graphically beautiful FF game to date. Granted, I'm still on the first disc (of three) and there are quite a few cutscenes, but the game is still quite good.

The combat system, in my mind, mixes X-2 and 12 since the auto-choice option generally gives you the best attack plan to work with (though you can always mix things up for fun), and being able to change party roles on the fly when the battle situations change is akin to the dresspheres from X-2. It's definitely a moderate change from 12's "Create your own Gambit" system but I've found that it's decent so far.

If you have a 360 or PS3 and have been a FF fan (and really, on this board who isn't?), YOU NEED TO GET THIS GAME. I'm fully expecting to put in over 150 hours to unlock all of the achievements for this one, and it looks like it's going to be a hell of a ride.

Golf Bag

Golf Bag

Your golf bag is a piece of golf accessory that allows you to carry all your other equipment with you such as the callaway x-24 hot irons, tees, markers, and perhaps an umbrella or towel. There are two major things that may affect your choice of golf bag - the gears that you will put into the bag and the way you will carry the ping rapture v2 irons. Are you making use of a caddie or a golf cart? To these, there are basically three kinds of golf bags: the staff bag or the tour bag the travel or carry bag and the cart bag. ishiner
